Pre-Competitive Trampoline and Tumbling - Developmental Group | Coed Athletes - Age 6-9 Years Old 
CGC’s Developmental T&T group follows Alberta’s FAST Program. This precompetitive 
program gives athletes the skill set required to transition into a competitive provincial 
program upon completion of the FAST levels. If invited into this program, athletes will train 
3x per week for 2 hours each day. (One weekend day included). Athletes learn to train and 
develop skills required to be a successful T&T athlete. The Developmental groups participate 
in FAST events where they showcase skills, routines and strength testing at semi-competitive 
(judged but not placed) events. 

• Experience: some previous gymnastics, T&T or acrobatic experience required 
• Children who do well at this level are able to listen to and follow instructions, like to 
be active, are athletic and keen to learn the basics of T&T

Competitive Trampoline and Tumbling | Coed Athletes - Age 9-12 Years Old 
Athletes in the competitive program will train a range of 8-12 hours a week depending on 
their level. Athletes trying out for this group should have prior gymnastics experience. Our 
athletes compete following the Canadian Provincial Program. The athletes participate in an 
average of 5 competitions per year and there is an expectation for commitment to attend 
practice and competitions. 

• Experience: athletes trying out for Provincial level competitive T&T need previous 
experience with gymnastics, T&T and or an acrobatic sport. 
Baseline skills required: round off - back handspring (linking back handsprings), a 
level of comfort performing fundamental trampoline skills (front drops and back 
drops), backwards and forwards flipping skills on trampoline 
• Children who do well at this level are athletic, enjoy flipping and being upside down, 
are able to listen and follow instructions, are able to manage a competitive 
environment (learning with support), are goal-oriented 

We will assess athletes for both pre-competitive and competitive groups together in 
the tryouts listed below. 
Tryout Dates: (Please only sign-up for one 1 hour and 15-minute time slot) 
Thursday, May 21 - 4:30pm to 5:45pm (Ages 6 – 9 pre-comp & 9 – 12 comp) 
Thursday, May 21 – 6:00pm to 7:15pm (Ages 6 – 9 pre-comp & 9 -12 comp) 

Competitive Trampoline & Tumbling | Coed Athletes - Age 13+ Years Old 
Athletes in the competitive program will train a range of 8-12 hours a week depending on 
their level. Athletes trying out for this group should have prior gymnastics experience. Our

experience with gymnastics, T&T and or an acrobatic sport.

handsprings), a level of comfort performing fundamental trampoline skills (front 
drops and back drops) on trampoline, backwards and forwards flipping skills on 
trampoline 
• Children who do well at this level are athletic, enjoy flipping and being upside down, 
are able to listen and follow instructions, are able to manage a competitive 
environment (learning with support), are goal-oriented 

Tryout Dates: (Please only sign-up for one 1 hour and 15min time slot) 
Wednesday, May 20 - 6:00pm to 7:15pm (Ages 13+) 

Where: Calgary Gymnastics Centre West Location 

Please enter through the blue WEST (#4) door - closest to c-can/garbage bins 
**Please Do Not cross through the gym to get to the T&T area, please enter the gym through the 
back blue door and arrive 5 minutes before the start of the tryout so we can get everyone 
checked in and start on time. 

Parent viewing during the tryout will be on the upstairs balcony. 

What to wear: Shorts and t-shirt/tank top or gym suit and shorts are both fine for the tryout 
(no baggy clothing).
